Yesterday, February 8, officially marks the beginning of an amazing journey for actors Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho as they were announced to play the roles of Mark Gordon, Big Bert Armstrong, and Little Jon Armstrong, respectively.
In a report made by 24 Oras anchor Cata Tibayan, the three actors recall how they bagged their roles and how they've been preparing for it since being cast by director Mark A. Reyes.
Radson shared, “Nung nasa casting po ako, pagkapasok na pagkapasok ko sabi ni Direk [Mark], 'No, no, no! Si Mark ka, si Mark!'
“Sabi ko, 'Oh no!'
Meanwhile, Matt Lozano, who will be playing Big Bert Armstrong, revealed that he relates to his character's personality given that they both have cheerful personalities.
“Si Big Bert sobrang masiyahin na tao, pero at the back of his mind nandun ang lungkot,” he said.
Meanwhile, actor Raphael Landicho couldn't contain his happiness when he heard the news that he'll be playing the child genius Little Jon Armstrong in the much-anticipated live-action series.
In preparation for their roles, the three actors told Cata Tibayan that they've been undergoing rigorous training, including attending martial arts classes and so much more.
'Yung iba ko pa pong training na kailangan kong gawin is fighting and horse riding.”
Meanwhile, Matt Lozano has even hired a grandmaster to teach him how to fight using a long stick.
“Bago ako nag-audition, I hired a grandmaster of arnis, which is tinuturuan n'ya ako ngayon na gumamit ng long stick -- na favorite weapon ni Big Bert.”
Despite being the only child, Raphael Landicho would also be undergoing martial arts training to keep up with the older cast members.
